Houston Poetry Slam Gets 2 Wins!
Each year Poetry Slam Incorporated all poetry slams like Houston Poetry Slam are required to achieve 2 wins versus neighboring teams in regional bouts called Win and Ur In bouts. Obtaining these two wins guarantees a team a spot at the next National Poetry Slam. On Saturday night a team composed of poets Trinity, Savannah Blue, Brother Said, and one of Houston Poetry Slam’s top ranking poets – Jem represented Houston Poetry Slam and defeated two Dallas teams and Ft. Worth to achieve two wins! Congratulations to the Houston Slam Team.
