Houston’s two PSI affiliated slams put together this special open qualifier that’s open to any and all poets for the 2008 – 2009 Houston Poetry Slam season and the VIP Poetry Slam season. H-town Poetry Slam was run by Marcell Murphy, but H-town Poetry Slam is now the VIP Poetry Slam and it has a new Slammaster: DEEP. Poets can use their score from the Unity Slam to qualify for the Houston Slam Team AND the VIP Slam Team. Come on out and cheer on the poets and the celebration of peace. It’s the Unity Slam!
This slam will serve as your LAST CHANCE to qualify for Super Slam Week, the playoff week for Houston Poetry Slam. Only four spots are open for four individual poets or four teams of two poets. Poets that want to enter Super Slam Week ranked need to arrive at this open slam by 8:30 @ Mr. A’s 3409 Cavalcade St
